The Scottish Fisheries Museum is based in Anstruther. This award-winning national museum offers a highly educational experience for those that want to learn about Scottish fishing from the earliest times to the present.

The museum that was first opened in 1969 has gone from strength to strength and there is now a range of galleries on its site. Some of these buildings date back to the 16th century: including the Abbot’s Lodging, Fisherman’s Cottage, Merchant House, Historic Boatyard, Zulu fishing boat gallery, and the courtyard.
